BUSINESS REQUIREMENT
Dassault Systèmes Solutions Lab, one of the subsidiaries of Dassault Aviation, is a strategic R&D hub for Dassault Systèmes. The subsidiary’s new facility is set up at the Rajiv Gandhi Infotech Park, Hinjawadi, Pune.
Dassault Systemes wanted to automate its maintenance operations for its new facility with a holistic view of both building and assets, receive alarms/alerts when asset/equipment fails, etc., which was possible only through a building management system (BMS) implementation.
SOLUTION
Dassault had a requirement, and Schneider Electric, the global energy management and automation specialist helped them implement its Building Automation System for the facility. For complete automation and meeting all the business requirements, Schneider required CMMS Software that will also integrate with Schneider Electric’s BMS system.
Schneider chose eFACiLiTY® to collate and automate maintenance operations at Dassault’s Pune facility owing to SIERRA’s successful implementations for large organizations globally.
eFACiLiTY® integrated with Schneider’s BMS, enabling smart operations and efficient building maintenance. After implementing eFACiLiTY® Enterprise Asset Management (EAM/CMMS), Dassault was able to set up a centralized system to track and manage assets/equipment, schedule preventive maintenance policies for all equipment/assets, and capture BMS alarms triggered by functional building/facility systems through OPC DA protocol.
eFACiLiTY® also generates work orders automatically and sends email/SMS alerts to maintenance technicians/contractors.
BENEFITS GAINED
eFACiLiTY® enabled Dassault to manage and respond swiftly to maintenance requests, reduce costs & downtime of equipment, etc., and allowed technicians to prioritize, track, and complete work orders quickly. eFACiLiTY® offered them the required tool to ensure their operational efficiency and provided deep insights for effective decision-making.
Working with eFACiLiTY® provided Dassault also with the below substantial benefits:
